Background
Radio
is the popular medium of mass media. It content is different kinds. Radio
content produced relate target group. It is also produced by research of its
effectiveness, audience interest and needs, age or gender etc. All these have
to do main cases is to make the qualities program.
Another side, Audience
interest has also own type. They tune the radio for various purposes. Some people is Radio to tunneling for
entertainment, some people tunes to know about news and current affair and some
people tuning the radio to just for avoid the loneliness. It means audience interests
are various and they come from different sectors, part or regional. And also they
have various culture, norms, obligation, jobs, ideology, interest, class etc.
In these cases, mass
media trying to do entertainment, information, education as well as encouraging
to them, by different kinds of programs with various languages.
But, all people have
using the radio is not. There may have different reason. As well as in one time
or by one station, radio also doing satisfy to the all people is also not.
There may have own type barring or problems.
2.
Objectivity of Research
Media should play the
vital role for the society. According to media ethics, media have needs to
conclude the all factors voice for to make the biaslessness. If media doesn't
it, it also wills not the credible.
In the present context more than 9 hundred newspapers
(presscouncialnepal.org), 6 hundred Radio and 40 over Television are registered
in Ministry of Information of Nepal (doinepal.gov.np).
Among them 30 Radio
station and 10 TV channels are running base on Kathmandu. But they haven't been
doing research about views of audience and relation to public and station. So,
here need to research to know the public views about how type program they want
to do listen? Which types program they are listing? Do they want to do radio listen
or not? Etc.
The idea of objectivity
assumes that a truth or independent reality exists outside of any investigation
or observation. (aqr.org.uk, 2014/12/02)
So, this research
objectivity is following:
-
To know the views of students about
radio & relation between Radio and them.
-
For what and why TU's students are radio
listen?
-
How types program listening by students.
-
To know about which type of
Radio/programs are want to do listen by students.
